From “RULES FOR RECREATIONISTS”

Printed in Utah Snow Scoop Newspaper, March 2005
Our thanks to Utah Snow Scoop
Newspaper and Del Albright for providing us all with such a timely and
important reminder that applies all year long!
Please remember, the land within Cedar Mountains’ subdivisions is
PRIVATE land that is largely surrounded by public land. Attention to these items is your opportunity
to act with courtesy to all the others who are also here to enjoy the serenity
of the surrounding wilderness, the variety of forest trails, recreational opportunities
and special events. They especially
apply in or near a wildland interface community such
as ours:
BASIC
TRAINING FOR LIFE
1. If you
open it, CLOSE IT.
2. If you
turn it on, TURN IT OFF.
3. If you
unlock it, LOCK IT.
4. If you
break it, FIX IT.
5. If you
can’t fix it, CALL SOMEONE WHO CAN.
6. If you
borrow it, RETURN IT.
7. If you
use it, TAKE CARE OF IT.
8. If you
make a mess, CLEAN IT UP.
9. If you
move it, PUT IT BACK.
10. If it
belongs to someone else, GET PERMISSION TO USE IT.
11. If you
don’t know how to operate it, READ THE DIRECTIONS or DON’T MESS WITH IT.
12. If it
doesn’t concern you, DON’T MESS WITH IT.
ADDITIONAL
BASIC TRAINING SUGGESTIONS
1. Pack
it IN; Pack it
OUT.
2. If the
area is posted no trespassing; STAY OUT.
3. If the
area is posted no hunting; STOP HUNTING, DON’T SHOOT and DON’T POACH.
4. If you’re on a hike and you find trash
someone else left behind, Pack it OUT.
